Terms and Conditions
The conditions set out below apply to each safari/tour. Reference or mention of the ‘operator’ means African Crown Tours & Safaris (CC No 2007/009555/23). The transport, meals, entrance fees, accommodation or other facilities and services, which are to be supplied in respect of any safari/tour, are those specifically stated in the tour brochure or itinerary.
- Prices are per person sharing and are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) or as per the client’s request.
- All tours are conducted in air-conditioned luxury vehicles.
- All tours are subject to availability at time of reservation
- Registered SA tourist guides conduct all tours in English. Other languages are available on request.
- We reserve the right to arrange for passengers to be accommodated by an associate company running the same or a similar tour, should circumstances require it.
- Private tours are quoted for separately.
- Routes, accommodation and visits to restaurants and sights are subject to change without prior notice if circumstances require it.
- Tourists/passengers are strongly advice to take out adequate travel insurance to cover personal accidents, medical expenses, loss of baggage and loss of deposit through cancellation.
- We strongly recommend that tourists take medication against malaria as prescribed when visiting the malaria-affected areas.
- ALL bank charges and commissions are for the depositor’s account.
- Deposit: A 50% deposit is required upon reservation and the balance is payable NOT later than 45 days prior to the departure. In the event of a booking less than 45 days prior to the start of the tour/event, payment in full is to be made upon booking the tour or safari.
In the unlikely event of the cancellation of a tour/event, a cancellation fee will be due and payable according to the following:
-If the cancellation is done,
-30-45 days prior to the start of the tour/event: 80% of the balance amount
-15-30 days prior to the start of the tour/event: 50% of the balance amount
Less than 15 days prior to the start of the tour/event: 100% of the balance amount.
- In all events an administration fee of 10% will apply. All travel arrangements, such as flight bookings, reservation of accommodation, reservation of motor transport, etc. made by the operator are subject to the booking conditions and cancellation provisions of the supplier of the services, transport and accommodation.
- Alteration of Routes and substitution of accommodation: The Operator takes every care to ensure that itineraries are followed through to the letter but unforeseen circumstances may necessitate changes. The operator accepts no liability due to the alteration of routes or substitution of properties. Where properties are substituted, they shall be substituted for equal.
The operator shall not be liable for any damage, losses and expenses suffered by any client because of sickness, quarantine, weather conditions, war, strikes, riots or any other cause outside the operator’s control. The operator accepts no liability in respect of death, injury loss or damage to person or property arising out of any act, omission or negligence of the operator, the supplier, the operator’s or supplier’s servants, save only in the case of wilful negligence or a wilful act or omission. The client will be deemed to have waived, renounced and abandoned all right or entitlement, which the client may be entitled to under the provisions of the law of the Republic of South Africa for any loss or damage to person or property.
Passengers may not carry any unlawful articles or substances whilst travelling in the South African region. If any passenger offends against the prohibitions set out herein, the operator will be entitled immediately to exclude from the offender who will be responsible for his or her own repatriation and all costs thereof. The operator will under no circumstances assists any such offender in any dealings or negotiations with any authority.
In all matters where it is or may be necessary, to have recourse to the Court, the Courts of the Republic of South Africa shall have sole jurisdiction to the exclusion of the Courts of any other country and the prevailing law of the Republic of South Africa shall prevail.
